U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will travel to Kansas in April to speak at Kansas State University.

The university said Monday the former two-term Iowa governor will deliver the spring Landon Lecture at 10:30 a.m. April 10 in McCain Auditorium

Vilsack became agriculture secretary in January 2009. Kansas State officials noted that the USDA funds the university's Center of Excellence for Food Safety Research in Child Nutrition Programs.
