The National Journal is out with its authoritative annual rankings that list the most conservative and liberal members of the House.

The single-most conservative member of the House -- former Congressman Todd Akin, who lost his bid for the Senate last year against Claire McCaskill

Two members of the Kansas delegation also made the list for most conservative -- Wichita-area Congressman Mike Pompeo at #10 and Lynn Jenkins of Topeka at #22.

The most liberal member of the House? That would be Missouri Congressman Lacy Clay from St. Louis.
