You bet, Todd Akin's spokesman said Wednesday.

"This will be one of the best areas to draw contrasts," said Akin spokesman Ryan Hite.

Hite said his candidate is open to doing several this fall.

"If we can be there, we have absolutely no problem with doing that," Hite said. "That sounds like a good idea to us."

McCaskill hasn't talked about debates. Or at least she didn't today in KC. But here's betting she'll take Akin up on the opportunity.
