The whispered fear among some Kansas Republicans can be put to rest -- Kris Kobach won't challenge either Sen. Pat Roberts or Gov. Sam Brownback in 2014.

In an interview Tuesday the Kansas Secretary of State Kobach said he's running for another term, and that's that.

"I'm running for re-election. That's official," he said.

Some in the GOP have worried that Kobach might challenge Brownback, or more likely Roberts, in the primary next year.

But Kobach says he isn't interested. "There was never any truth to those rumors," he said.

"There's still work to do on voter fraud in Kansas," he said.
