Newt Gingrich swings through Kansas City Tuesday and Wednesday next week to stump for GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin.

The former speaker will appear at three events with Akin.

He'll attend a "Power Lunch" at noon Tuesday at Brio on the Country Club Plaza. Special guest will be Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach.

At 6:45 p.m. that evening, Gingrich attends a $40-a-person dessert social at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club in Lee's Summit.

Then at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, the public can attend a "Show-Me Courage Rally" at Union Station.
