The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has filed a $617,181 spending report with the FEC -- bringing its total investment in the Missouri Senate race to almost $3 million.

Majority PAC, another Democratic funder, has spent about $3 million to help Sen. Claire McCaskill as well.

In the last week, the Center for Responsive Politics says, groups supporting Rep. Todd Akin have spent about $42,000. Groups supporting McCaskill have spent more than $800,000.
