Secretary of State-elect Jason Kander today named four more members of his senior staff, including two high-profile Jeff City administrators.
They include Julie Allen as director of Elections and Information Technology. Allen has been the Executive Director of the Missouri Ethics Commission since 2008.
Andrew Hartnett will serve as Commissioner of Securities. Hartnett is currently the chief of staff to Attorney General Chris Koster. He previously served as an Assistant Attorney General and worked at Bryan Cave LLP before moving to Jefferson City.
Liz Abram-Oldham will be Kander’s Director of Communications. Abram-Oldham is currently an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
John Scott will serve as the Director of Policy and Governmental Affairs, leading Kander’s effort in the Capitol. Scott previously served as a Special Assistant to Attorney General Chris Koster.
Four current senior staff members will remain in the office as a part of Kander’s leadership team:
Waylene Hiles, Director of Administrative Rules
Val Heet, Director of Fiscal and Facilities
John Dougan, State Archivist
Margaret Conroy, State Librarian
Kander previously announced that Abe Rakov (Chief of Staff), Barbara Wood (General Counsel and Deputy Secretary of State), and Casey Clark (Senior Counsel) would head his leadership team.
Kander will be sworn in on Jan. 14.
