Kansas City Councilman Scott Taylor sends word that he was invited to attend the State of the Union address tonight in Washington D.C. to represent Kansas City.

Taylor says Congressman Emanuel Cleaver invited him to be his guest in the House of Representatives tonight, to recognize the city's advocacy for small businesses.

"We will keep fighting for our small businesses as they support our neighborhoods by creating local jobs, investment, and opportunities for us in Kansas City," Taylor said.
