Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach rendered his turnout forecast today:
68 percent.
That compares with the 72 percent voter turnout prediction in Missouri.
A 68 percent turnout in Kansas would equate to about 1.2 million voters. That would be about 64,000 fewer voters than in 2008.
Turnout in 2004 and 2008 both reached 72 percent. The figure in 2000 was 67 percent.
Oh, the official voter registration figures are in for 2012: Republicans have 790,538 registered voters, Democrats 446,225 and unaffiliated now total 522,202.
Kobach said the fastest way to view election returns Tuesday night is to log onto the secretary of state's website at www.sos.ks.gov starting at 7 p.m.
