Biden his time
In Detroit, Vice President Joe Biden chided Republicans for having policies that can fit on bumper stickers.
He said he had a bumper sticker idea of his own for Democrats: Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive!
That would be a pretty big bumper sticker, but probably not big enough to cover Biden's mouth.
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus admits that the official platform language poised for approval at the GOP convention this week may not fully represent the party's presumptive presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.
The RNC's platform committee, for example, adopted language related to abortion that calls for a human life amendment to the Constitution, along with legislation to make clear that the 14th Amendment's protections apply to unborn children.
"This is the platform of the Republican Party. It's not the platform of Mitt Romney," Priebus said.
Wonder what the party's plank is on skinny-dipping?
Speaking of U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder ...
A hurricane in Florida in August? Republicans don't have to be rocket scientists to make backup plans in case Tampa is hit with a hurricane during the convention.
A violent storm once sent 15 feet of water over the land that is now the Tampa Bay Convention Center. And the site of this year's convention is in a mandatory evacuation zone when storms reach 96 mph, or Category 2.
It'll also be a mandatory evacuation zone if Yoder shows up without his Speedo.
Shocking Republican revelations
According to new reports, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan had a black college sweetheart.
No additional details were immediately available on the mystery woman, but GOP supporters say the revelation shows that Ryan is open-minded, while critics question whether the information is even newsworthy.
The news follows reports from earlier this year on President Barack Obama's college love life and white girlfriends.
All of this has The Buzz wondering if Senate candidate Todd Akin had a legitimate girlfriend in college and whether they took any biology classes together.
Shocking Democratic revelations
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano has been accused in a lawsuit of sexual harassment and discrimination against male employees.
In the complaint, which Napolitano denies, she is accused of turning her female-run department into a "frat house" where male staffers were routinely humiliated.
Hard to believe, given that the male body has ways to shut down that whole humiliation thing.
